Craig Burton - will be assisting the 17U Rising Stars Yellow Team for a second season and has experience coaching in the Zion Feeder program

Terry "Toots" Coughlin - Played on New Trier's State Finalist team and as a Freshman at Augustana College, "Toots" will be assisting 11th grade gold teams after spending the winter as an assistant coach with New Trier HS

Gil Degand - will continue his first season with Rising Stars coaching at the 6th grade level in the spring. Gil also is a coach in the popular Highwood All-Stars program.

Adam Demong - is entering his first season with the Rising Stars Spring program. A former coach at the Division 1 level at the University of Ohio now currently serves as an assistant coach at St Patrick HS. Adam will be assisting Brian Davis with the 15U & 16U teams.

Fitzroy Dennison - Fitzroy is in his third year working for Joy of the Game and he is currently a coach at Deerfield High School, where he coaches the freshman girls.

Jim Edmondson - A veteran coach of AAU teams, Jim is in his fifth year with Rising Stars and will be coaching the 11th Grade Blue Team. Jim is also a former standout player at Northern Illinois.

Carlton Evans - Carlton is in his third season with the Rising Stars program.A former head high school coach in, he played his college ball at Iowa St. with former Northwestern Head Coach Ricky Byrdsong. He will be coaching at the 9th grade level.

Chris Faggi - Once drafted by the Boston Celtics, Chris has been a long-time coach for Lake Forest HS, and one of our big man development coaches. He will be assisting the 10th grade travel teams.

Benny Figueroa - Benny has returned to Joy of the Game and will be entering his third season as a coach for the Rising Stars. Benny is one of the good young coaches in the area and will be coaching the 6th grade winter travel teams.

Jacob Johnson - Jacob is a former Rising Stars Player and is currently a Junior on the basketball team at Dominican University. Jacob will be working with the 4th grade level.

Kenny Jones - will be assisting the 16U Rising Stars Yellow team for a second season. He has experience coaching for many years in the Waukegan Feeder program.

Corey Knigge - will be returning to Joy of the Game as the head coach of the 8th grade Rising Stars Team Kobe. Knigge has taken numerous Rising Stars teams to Nationals and currently serves as an assistant coach at Mundelein HS

Sara Kustok - Sara is in her second season coaching the 10th Grade Rising Stars Gold Girl's team. Sara played basketball at DePaul University and currently serves as an analyst for Girl's basketball games on Comcast and ESPN to name a few.

Paula Lepka - is entering her first season with the Rising Stars Girls basketball program and will be coaching at the 6th grade level. She currently coaches for the Winnetka Park District Travel Teams.

Josh Oppenheimer - will continue coaching the 6th grade girls for 2009/10 after completing a very successful 2008/09 travel basketball season. Josh currently trains multiple NBA players including Ben Gordon, Tyrus Thomas and Luol Deng after spending ten years as a Division 1 Assistant.

Octavius Parker - Former North Park leading scorer has worked as a coach in the Rising Stars AAU program for six years. Is one of JG's primary personal trainers and current head coach for the 6th Grade Travel Teams.

Gary Peckler - Coach Peckler has an impressive resume after coaching high school basketball for many years and has been inducted in the Illinois High School Basketball Hall of Fame. He will be coaching at the 10th & 11th grade level.

Dan Powers - Long time local basketball coach has experience coaching at every level of youth basketball including two years as the head coach at North Shore Country Day. Dan will begin his fourth year with the Rising Stars program and coach at the 10th and 11th grade levels.

Chad Reilley - is entering his second season as a coach in the Rising Stars program after completing a very successful basketball playing career at Trinity International in Deerfield, IL. Chad will be coaching at the 5th and 7th Grade Level.

Michael Skinner - Mike is in his seventh year at Joy of the Game, and he will be coaching with the high school girls' teams. He just finished his second season as the head boys coach at Antioch HS.

Clarence Springs - Clarence is in his second year with the Rising Stars program and will continue coaching his Rising Stars Yellow Teams at the 10th & 11th grade levels. Last year the Rising Stars 16U team won the Division II National Championship!

Dwayne Springs - will be assisting the16U Rising Stars Yellow team for a second season. Dwayne is currently an assistant football coach at Waukegan HS and has also coached in the Waukegan Basketball Feeder Program.

Ian Thomas - is entering his first spring with the Rising Stars program and will be coaching at the freshman level, as he has just finished his first season with the Deerfield HS Freshman A team.
