Coach Dennison attended Evanston Township High School where he was recognized as a 3 sport athlete in football, wresting, and track. Coach Dennison played 3 years of varsity football under the legendary leadership of the late Coach John Riehle who, in 12 seasons, guided the Kits to seven CSL conference championships, ten state playoff appearances and assisted 46 players to full scholarships -- four of which went on to play in the NFL. Dennison later went on to play at Prairie View A & M University and 2 more additional years in semi pro football. After his playing career came to an end, Coach Dennison worked for 5 years in radio covering the (SWAC) basketball tournament for ESPN Houston.

Coach Dennison began his coaching career for the Evanston F.A.A.M. and Coe Pops & Coe Moms programs. He went on to coach 7 and 8th grade boys basketball teams for Maple Middle School in Glenview, in addition to the Deerfield Girls basketball feeder program. In 2006, Coach Dennison joined the Joy of the Game, coaching various programs, such as the High School Exposure League, Jr. NBA, spring and summer AAU travel and Derrick Rose camps. Currently, Coach Dennison is entering his second season as the Girls sophomore basketball coach at Deerfield High School.
