Coach Weiner attended Stevenson High School and was one of their captains for their 2007 team that finished 4th in the Class AA state tournament. It was the first time that a Stevenson boy's basketball team had ever taken home a trophy in the state tournament. Coach Weiner did not play basketball in college although he did represent Team USA in the Maccabi Pan America games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he started and helped the team capture a silver medal. He has been assisting at summer camps working with athletes that range from 2nd grade all the way through high school before becoming an assistant varsity coach at Highland Park High School in the winter of 2011.
