Coach Rossi started his athletic career at Fenwick High School where he played varsity football, and basketball as well as baseball. After a successful high school athletic career, he continued his basketball career at Eastern Illinois University. After completing his degree, he began coaching basketball at Archbishop Quigley in 1996 before moving to his alma mater Fenwick in 2000 as the assistant varsity coach. He later became the associate head coach at Triton College where in his second year he helped guide the team to an eighth place finish nationally. In 2005, Coach Rossi coached the Chicago Rockers (ABA Professional League) then did a stint with the Illinois Wolves, winning the 2008 USSSA 15U National Championship. Most recently, he served as the head coach at Luther North before opening Optimal Athletics sport specific training in 2010. Coach Rossi has also coached at numerous basketball camps including Five Star, Reebok, Purdue and Loyola.
