Coach Edmonson has been coaching and training at Joy of the Game since 2003 where his Rising Stars teams have qualified for the National AAU Tournament every season. Coach Edmondson coached his own 6th-8th grade traveling team from 2001-2003 and was an assistant coach and recruiter at St. Xavier University from 1997 – 2003. Coach Edmondson has also worked at high-profile basketball camps at University of Arizona, Stanford University, Northwestern University and Northern Illinois University. Coach Edmondson is the Illinois state record holder for most points scored in a high school super sectional game with 55 points and went on to receive a B.A. in Physical Education from Northern Illinois University.
