Coach Cordes began coaching in the winter of his senior year of high school, where he coached a 6th grade house league basketball team. As the coach for 3rd Grade Rising Stars, Coach Cordes understands that these kids love the game, want to win games and become better individual players. While winning games is the goal, Coach Cordes wants to help these young athletes understand many offensive motion plays, defensive formations and raise their on-court basketball IQ for making good decisions -- whether it is the basics such as ball handling, passing, shooting and defense, or a deeper understanding of what a player should do when they don't have the ball like setting quality picks, making quick cuts around the basket or boxing out for rebounds. Coach Cordes attended Stevenson High School and recently graduated from Ball State University.
