Michael Dombrowski joined Joy of the Game in Fall 2011. Dombrowski has coached 2nd- 4th grade basketball teams for the past four years along with training Johnsburg Feeder basketball teams and players. Dombrowski also coached the 6th Grade Full Package Elite squad in the Spring of 2011.

Dombrowski was a three-time All Fox Valley Conference selection at Johnsburg High School and earned All-State recognition his senior year. As a junior, Dombrowski also finished 5th in the state of Illinois for the Class 3A three point shooting competition. Dombrowski, who also starred on the soccer field, scored more than 1200 points in his high school basketball career, was honored as an Army Scholar Athlete and was the runner up for McHenry County's 2011 Athlete of the Year Award.

Coach Dombrowski currently attends Carthage College where he competes on the soccer team. Dombrowski was an All-Wisconsin and All-CCIW Conference selection in the fall of 2011 and plans to study Business, Communications and Exercise Sports Science. Due to Carthage successful soccer campaign, Dombrowski was unable to join the school's basketball team this season.
