3rd Grade Travel

The Deerfield Jr. Warriors 3rd Grade Travel Program is for any 3rd Grade boy who resides in Bannockburn, Deerfield, Highland Park or Riverwoods that currently plans on attending Deerfield High School. The Jr. Warriors program will follow the Deerfield High School Basketball philosophy and will impart that knowledge to all players. The Deerfield High School Basketball program believes that all players, no matter what their talent level is, should demonstrate good character, morals, family values and solid academics.

The program will have a strong emphasis on skill development. All Jr. Warriors players will learn man to man defense, motion offense, extensive skill training and learn the terminology of the Deerfield High School Basketball program. By the end of this program you will see improvement in your child’s basketball IQ (knowledge of the game), basketball fundamentals and skill set, as well as a better knowledge of the Deerfield basketball system.

League Play

Begining in December, the team will play in the North Suburban League with the majority of games on Saturdays and Sundays and with some games during the week. Home games will take place at the JG Sports Center or the Sachs Center, 455 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, IL. The North Suburban Basketball League Schedule is online at www.northsuburbanbasketball.com. Our conference includes Highland Park, Highland Park II, Kenilworth, Mt. Prospect, Northfield, Park Ridge, Park Ridge II, Vernon Hills, Vernon Hills II.
