Hi-Five Sports Club provides safe, cutting-edge, skill developing programs to thousands of families and has since 1990. Joy of the Game is the premier basketball program and teaching center in Chicagoland. Hi- Five & Joy of the Game continue to innovate and expand their breadth of programs to include Illinois’s newest girls program – POMS!

WHAT IS POMS?
POMS is brought to you through a partnership between Joy of the Game and Hi-Five Sports Club. Expose your child to the skills, showmanship and performance experience they will need to be successful Pommers. Your child will learn the basics of POMS, encompassing areas of dance, exercise and teamwork, and have the opportunity to perform in front of a live audience each Sunday! Every Sunday afternoon, high school POMS coaches, team members and area dance experts will teach your child the basics of POMS, stressing technique, discipline and teamwork, and then put their work on display during “THE LEAGUE.” The LEAGUE is the largest K-8th grade basketball program on the North Shore with 400+ kids per session and performances will take place during halftime and game breaks during each hour-long session. This new and exciting program will be managed by Julie Smith, Glenbrook South High School Pom Head Coach. POMS will be offered to girls K-5th Grade.

PROGRAM MISSION & PHILOSOPHY
Our principal mission is to provide an opportunity for each individual to develop and improve her Pom skills while learning and having FUN! Teaching responsibility, sportsmanship and teamwork rounds out this mission. Our philosophy of positive reinforcement in teaching POMS enables everyone to enjoy the game while learning necessary skills and techniques. POMS is designed to teach new skills and reinforce previously learned skills each week.
